The focus during summer driving should be on keeping the engine cool.
Simple preventative maintenance to your belts and hoses can keep you on the
road running strong all summer long. Belts and hoses keep your vehicle’s
cooling system running, your battery recharging, and your air conditioning
flowing.
Make sure to inspect your belts and hoses for cracks, leaks, and loose
connections. Also make sure to feel all the hoses and belts to make sure they
are firm and not soft and squishy. If you notice any of these problems, replace
the worn out belt or hose immediately.
